Ron "Byrd" Foster

Ron hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  This is the consummate blues crooner.  After years of great success in the local Pittsburgh music scene, Ron was hired by world-renowned blues guitarist Roy Buchanan to play drums and sing with his band, touring the world and recording seven albums, from "Live In Japan" to "Loading Zone," and "A Street Called Straight," to name a few, two of which were on Atlantic Records.  "A Street Called Straight" and "Loading Zone" allowed him to work with music industry greats such as Arif Mardin and Ahmet Ertegen.

Ron relocated to Sanford, Florida and was recruited by Bob Greenlee of King Snake Records to join his band, The Midnight Creepers, as well as performing as a session drummer for the likes of Lucky Peterson, Alex Taylor (James Taylor's brother), Ace Moreland and Noble "Thin Man" Watts, to name a few.

He is now in his own endeavor as frontman for the King Snake Allstars, with his smooth rhythm & blues style, guaranteed to please the ears of any audience in the country.

Ron has recording credits on five more albums on Polydor Records.  A complete discography will be added to this bio in the future.

Ron says, "Hope to see you soon, and on with the show!"
